Our approach

A clear path from first conversation to ongoing advice. You decide at each stage whether to continue, and nothing moves to the next stage without your agreement.

Three separate stages

  • Initial consultation

An exploratory conversation. It is not advice and does not create a client relationship.

  • Formal engagement

Begins only when we have both signed an engagement letter setting out the scope, fees and responsibilities.

  • Ongoing advice

Provided only where it is included in your engagement. You can review or end it under the agreed terms.

  1. Before you engage

    1. A first conversation

The first conversation usually lasts 45 to 60 minutes and takes place in person or by video, in English or Arabic. We want to understand why you are getting in touch, what has prompted the question now and whether our services fit your needs. We also explain how we work, how fees are determined and what a formal engagement would involve. There is no obligation to go further.

    2. Understanding your objectives

We discuss what you want your capital to achieve: income, growth, security, a future purchase, retirement, or support for the next generation, and over what period. Many clients have more than one objective, and some pull in different directions. We help you name them, put them in order and attach a rough timeline to each, so the work that follows has a clear purpose.

    3. Deciding whether to proceed

After the conversation, you decide whether to go ahead. If you do, we set out in writing the scope of the service, how we are paid, any conflicts of interest and what each side is responsible for. Formal advice begins only once that engagement letter has been signed.

  2. During the engagement

    1. Reviewing your financial situation

Once engaged, we gather the information needed to give advice: assets, liabilities, income, commitments and existing investments. We ask only for what the advice requires and explain why each item is needed. Account statements and identity documents are requested at this stage, not before we have agreed to work together.

    2. Identifying priorities and constraints

We clarify your risk tolerance, liquidity needs, time horizon, family considerations and any legal, tax or residency factors that limit the options. Some constraints are fixed, such as a residency rule or a commitment already made. Others are preferences, such as a wish for Sharia-compliant investments. Writing them down early means the strategy is built around them rather than adjusted afterwards.

    3. Developing a tailored strategy

We prepare a strategy suited to your circumstances, setting out the alternatives we considered and why we recommend one over another. Where a decision touches legal, tax or accounting matters, we coordinate with your own advisers and are clear about where our advice ends and theirs begins.

    4. Recommendations and next steps

We present our recommendations in writing and in conversation, explain the risks and costs, and agree with you what happens next. The decision to act is yours. Where implementation support is part of the engagement, we help you put the agreed plan in place with the institutions you choose.

  3. After the recommendations

    1. Ongoing reviews

Where ongoing advice is part of the agreed service, we meet at agreed intervals, typically at least once a year, and whenever a significant change in your life or the markets calls for it. Each review compares progress with the objectives you set, notes what has changed and recommends adjustments where they are needed.

    2. Changing or ending the arrangement

Ongoing advice continues only while it serves you. You can review its scope or end it under the terms agreed in your engagement letter, and if your circumstances change significantly, the scope itself can be revisited and agreed again in writing.

What we advise on

Talk through your financial goals, schedule a consultation.

Tell us what you are planning for. An adviser will arrange an initial conversation in English or Arabic at a time that suits you.

Requesting a consultation does not create an advisory relationship. Any formal engagement is agreed separately in writing.
