Helping families plan together across generations
Family financial planning and succession
Family financial planning and succession is advice that helps a family agree how shared wealth is managed today and how it will pass between generations. It is for GCC families with significant shared assets or a family business, and it works alongside the lawyers and tax advisers who prepare the legal structures.
Family wealth often carries responsibilities as well as opportunities: supporting relatives, preserving a family business, and passing on assets in a way that keeps the family united.
We help families clarify shared objectives, prepare for transitions and coordinate the advisers involved, so that important decisions are made calmly and in good time.
Succession is as much about people as about assets. We listen to each generation, help the family agree shared and individual objectives, and build a consolidated view of what is owned, by whom and where. We do not prepare wills or legal structures. Your legal and tax advisers handle those, including Sharia inheritance matters, and we coordinate our financial recommendations with their work.
Families often come to us at a point of change: a founder stepping back, a new generation joining the business, or members settling in different countries. Family members can speak with us in English or Arabic, together or separately, and we write down what the family agrees so it can be revisited as circumstances change.

Challenges we address
- No agreed view across the family about long-term financial priorities.
- Assets held in different names, entities and countries.
- A coming transition, such as a founder stepping back, without a clear plan.
- The next generation feeling unprepared for responsibility.
- Legal, tax and financial advice that is not coordinated.

Questions
Do you prepare wills or legal structures?
No. We are not lawyers. We work with your legal advisers, who prepare wills, trusts, foundations and other structures and advise on inheritance law.
Can you meet with several family members?
Yes. We can meet family members together or separately, with confidentiality arrangements agreed in advance.
Who in the family should attend the first conversation?
Whoever is leading the discussion is enough to begin. Many families start with one or two members and involve others once the objectives are clearer. We can meet family members together or separately.
How is confidentiality handled within a family?
Confidentiality arrangements, including what may be shared between family members, are agreed in advance. Information is shared with your other advisers only with your consent or where the law requires it.
Can you advise families with members in several countries?
We can include members and assets in several countries in one consolidated view. Our advice itself can only be provided in countries where we are authorized to do so, or where the law allows that advice without a local licence, and we confirm this during the initial consultation.
